Misbehaving Plants
Misbehaving plants is a big book with
an introduction to weeds, a narrative
story, a cartoon strip and factual
information describing weeds.
This resource was developed in
consultation with experienced lower
primary / infants teachers.
While the book was developed for early
stage teachers, the content and lesson
activities suit a range of abilities,
making this book appropriate for all
primary classrooms.

Lord of the Weeds
The Weeds CRC has designed this competition, including
all resources (such as suggested lesson activities, student
proformas to guide students through writing the report, marking
guide and appropriate contacts for teachers to use). This
way, finding a weedy area in the school or local area should
be the only difficult thing to do.

Ghastly Guests
Ghastly guests: Upper primary unit of work investigating weeds
is a great resource for upper primary teachers nationwide.
The unit includes suggested lesson activities with accompanying
worksheets and teacher resources. Activities in the unit are
linked to the curriculum in each state and territory.

Weed Warriors
Weed Warriors, an innovative national education and awareness
program supported by the Weeds CRC, aims to empower the community
and bring the weed message to the next generation of land
and water managers. The program, targeted at the middle years
of schooling but adaptive to all levels of education, utilises
biological control as the vehicle to introduce weed studies
into school curriculum.

Weed Wipeout
Weed Wipeout is an interactive game where the player is in
a position of managing a farm with some weed problems. The
player is required to make decisions regarding the most appropriate
weed management strategy, and then discovers the results of
these decisions. Humorous and unexpected events appear, keeping
the job at hand very interesting.
